All For A Song
In 2003, Russell was executive producer of a compilation album issued by CBC Records.
All For A Song was a 30-track 2-disc album of songs commissioned by Russell. He asked listeners for lyrics and he gave those lyrics to a variety of singer/songwriters to complete. -
The Very Best of Harry Hibbs, Volume One
Harry Hibbs was a prolific Canadian musician from 1968 up until his death in 1989. Russell began a quest to issue some of Harry’s songs on a new compilation album.
The result was 2001’s The Very Best of Harry Hibbs, Volume One, featuring 21 classic recordings. It was an instant success becoming g the best selling album in the history of CBC Records.

Donovan Deschner - I'll Regret This
In 2010, Russell produced his first comedy album, a live set written and performed by comedian, Donovan Deschner.
In addition to the live material, he also produced a “bonus track,” simulating a backstage conversation between Russell & Donovan as they discuss his set while it’s happening “on stage.”

The Harry Hibbs Discography
Following the success of Harry Hibbs compilation, Russell worked with UniDisc Music to re-release the entire Harry Hibbs back catalogue to record shops. It is still a consistent seller after 20 years.
Making A Difference
In February of 2003, the Newfoundland community of Badger was overcome by flood waters which flash froze the town almost overnight.
Many Newfoundlanders and Labradorians rallied to aid Badger and within 3 weeks of the disaster, a concert was held in St. John's to raise funds for the Red Cross and their efforts.
The show was a who's-who of the provincial music scene from that decade. The show and televised concert raised over $500,00 for Red Cross Relief.
Russell Bowers helped produce the Badger Relief Concert for the Red Cross. He co-hosted and wrote the nationally televised show.
